Legend Boats is seeking a new Customer Care Specialist.  In the past, this would have been a post for a Counter Person or a Parts Person, but we need this position completely revamped.  This will now be a customer centric, driven, obsessed, and focused position.  There are many facets to this position and we need exactly the right fit for it to make it work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Customer Care.  Ensuring every person that walks through our door feels welcome, has all of their questions answered and is completely satisfied with the Legend service they’ve received

  • Taking Service Phone Calls.  There are several phone calls that come in during the day, some from customers and some from our Dealers.  It is very important to be knowledgeable, friendly and concise to get questions answered quickly and correctly

  • Accountability and Accounting.  You will be responsible for handling money and taking payments.  You are also responsible for counting money.  Math skills are an asset.

  • New Boat Orientations.  When a customer picks up their new boat, they receive a complimentary technical and paperwork orientation.  You are responsible for ensuring all paperwork and information is present when the customer arrives and giving them a big, warm welcome to the Legend Family. One of our Technicians will go over all the physical parts of the boat and then you will do the paperwork orientation.  You will go over all the physical features of the boat package, then do a paperwork orientation highlighting relevant information.  

  • Selling. During this orientation process, you will be offering aftercare products and services to the customer.  You will use your knowledge to make helpful suggestions to improve the customers boating experience and supplement your earning potential. 

  • Product Knowledge. You will be expected to know your Legend Boats and Mercury motors inside and out. Keep on top of new product offerings and the sell the benefits of preventative maintenance. Previous marine experience not a requirement, but huge bonus points if you are Mercury certified!

  • Acting. During this paperwork orientation, you will be offering aftercare products to the customer.  We hope that this will be done in a fun and almost cheeky way, and will require all of your improvisation and acting skills

  • Store Monitoring and Maintenance.  The Parts and Service Store will now be your baby.  You will need to monitor stock, cleanliness, ease of access and general appearance to ensure that we provide the WOW factor for everyone that walks through our door

  • Technology.  We are switching our systems over to Salesforce, the World’s #1 CRM.  You will be required to learn this system, and how to use it in conjunction with our old system for the time being.  Being technology savvy will be a huge asset!

  • Balancing Act. Knowing how to perform all of these tasks and never let Customer Service slip.  If you are on the phone and a customer walks in, they still need to know that they are a priority.  If you can do this flawlessly, you’re the one for us!
